[ad_1]

Fruits and vegetables became expensive during the Corona crisis, but now the direct effect of the epidemic is being seen on poultry products as well. The price of chicken and eggs is increasing rapidly. During the second wave of Corona, chicken sold at Rs 140 to 160 per kg is now selling at Rs 250 to 280 per kg. At the same time, the price of raw eggs has also increased from Rs 5 per piece to Rs 7 per piece.

Ramesh Khatri, President, Poultry Federation of India said, “The cost of poultry products has increased by 50-60 percent due to the rise in the prices of raw materials like makka, soyabean, bajra and soya meal. Along with this, farmers associated with poultry farms across the country have been out of business this year due to the rise in the prices of raw materials. Chickens have died due to diseases in many parts of the country. It has also affected production.”

Prices will not decrease in the coming time

He said, traders associated with both egg and chicken are currently working at a loss. The price of poultry farm gate is still at Rs 120 to 130 per kg. However, the price in the retail market is much higher than this.” He said that in the coming time also, there is no hope of getting much relief from the increase in the prices of chicken and eggs. Chicken inflation will remain the same throughout this year. During the corona epidemic, doctors are also advising people to use poultry products to increase immunity. This is also one of the reasons why these products are becoming expensive.
