Haridwar, September 10 (HS). National General Secretary of Freedom Fighter Successor Family Committee, Jitendra Raghuvanshi said that Amrit Mahotsav was celebrated across the country by the Central and State Governments with the aim of Prime Minister's resolution to build the India of the dreams of freedom fighters, which has reflected the sense of respect for freedom fighters, martyrs and their families in the minds of the people. Freedom Fighter Successor Family Committee will play the role of a partner with the government in fulfilling this resolution.
Jitendra Raghuvanshi, while addressing a press conference in Haridwar, said that the National Conference of Freedom Fighter Successor Family of the office bearers of the organizations of 22 states of the country is being organized on 14-15 September at Shivdel School BHEL Ranipur. Minister of State for External Affairs Pabitra Margherita, Minister of State for Road Transport Ajay Tamta, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, Assam Chief Minister Hemant Vishwa Sharma, former Chief Minister Bhagat Singh Koshyari, Haridwar MP and former Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat, Pauri Garhwal MP Anil Baluni and Ranipur Haridwar MLA Adesh Chauhan will participate in this conference.
He informed that 18 freedom fighters aged more than a century from different states of the country, Lt. R. Madhavan Delhi, Pandurang Ganpat Shinde Maharashtra, Anand Singh Bisht Uttarakhand, 116-year-old Swami Lekhraj Uttar Pradesh, Bhaiya Bahadur Singh Satna Madhya Pradesh, Ramvichar Pandey Ballia Uttar Pradesh, Nandkishore Majhi Godda Jharkhand, Bhagwanpuri Gulbarga Karnataka, Bhim Shankar Karbari Kalburgi Karnataka, Prem Sagar Phagwara Punjab, Hiralal Tamrakar Balaghat Madhya Pradesh, Avtar Singh Patiala Punjab, Anant Laxman Gurav Mumbai Maharashtra, Bhi Venkat Rao Hanumanakonda Hyderabad Telangana, Ram Achal Acharya Gonda Uttar Pradesh, Puvaneshwar Duwarah Shivanagar Assam, Bholanath Lakhimpur Assam and Bharat Bhushan Vidyalankar Haridwar Uttarakhand are participating in this conference. All of them have been declared state guests by the Uttarakhand government.
In the two-day programme, on September 14 at 10 am, photo exhibition based on the life stories of freedom fighters and revolutionaries, felicitation of freedom fighters and their successors at 1.30 pm, on September 15 at 9 am, Haridwar MP and former chief minister Trivendra Singh Rawat will hoist the flag at Amar Shaheed Jagdish Vats Park, near Jatwada Pul, Jwalapur. After that, from there, the freedom fighter felicitation procession will leave for the venue, Shivdel School. The main programme of the conference will be held on September 15 at 1 pm.
