India China Dispute: Former Congress President Rahul Gandhi has once again targeted PM Narendra Modi regarding the issue of the border dispute between India and China. In a tweet, he alleged that PM Modi and his ‘sycophants’ handed over thousands of kilometers of Indian land to China.

Rahul Gandhi tweeted, “Modi ji and his sycophants handed over thousands of kilometers of Indian land to China. When are we getting it back?” This is not the first time that Rahul Gandhi has surrounded the government on this issue. Even before this, he has targeted the government many times.

This latest tweet of Rahul Gandhi has come at a time when the 12th round of military talks between India and China was held on 31 July last month. In this meeting, emphasis was placed on the immediate withdrawal of troops from various tension points in Hot Spring, Gogra and Eastern Ladakh. The talks between the two countries lasted for about nine hours.

According to the information received about the talks held on the Moldo border point on the Chinese side of the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in eastern Ladakh, both sides have agreed to bring peace to the rest of the tension points, proceed with the process of withdrawal of troops and jointly land. Maintaining stability at the level’ was discussed.

Significantly, about two weeks before the 12th round of military talks, External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar had categorically told the Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi that the continuing standoff in eastern Ladakh was negatively affecting bilateral relations between the two countries. The foreign ministers of the two countries held bilateral talks on the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit in Tajikistan’s capital Dushanbe on July 14.
