News India Live, Digital Desk: This is not a minor thing, but a unique achievement for Jharkhand. Today, two personalities are sitting on the two biggest constitutional positions in the country, who once served the state as the Governor of Jharkhand. We are talking about Draupadi Murmu and newly elected Vice President CP Radhakrishnan. This is such a wonderful coincidence that has given the Raj Bhavan of Ranchi a special place on the country’s politics map.
A coincidence that became history
This is probably the first time in the political history of the country that both the President and the Vice President have had a direct connection with the Raj Bhavan of the same state. Draupadi Murmu, who was the 9th Governor of Jharkhand from 18 May 2015 to 13 July 2021, is the 15th President of the country today. She not only created history by becoming the first woman governor of Jharkhand, but now she has become an inspiration for crores of people by becoming the first tribal woman of the country.
At the same time, CP Radhakrishnan served as the 11th Governor of the state from 18 February 2023 to 30 July 2024. During his tenure, the state saw many major political ups and downs. Now he has been elected the 15th Vice President of the country, due to which the name of Jharkhand is once again in the national level discussion.
Special things about the tenure of both
Draupadi Murmu: As Governor, Draupadi Murmu was quite stable and long. She took several steps to improve the education system of the universities of the state and was always vocal for the rights of tribal society. Their simple nature and how to connect with common people is still remembered.
CP Radhakrishnan: CP Radhakrishnan’s tenure may remain small, but politically was very stirred. In his time, the then Chief Minister Hemant Soren had to go to jail and Champai Soren was sworn in as Chief Minister. He was considered very strict on the issues of corruption and returned several important bills like Khatian of 1932 to the government for legal advice.
This historical achievement is a matter of pride for the people of Jharkhand. Two former governors from the same state reaching the highest positions in the country show that there is something special in the land of Jharkhand. Now the whole country is seeing that these two leaders together take the country in which new direction.
