Indian women’s hockey team lost the bronze medal match against Great Britain at the Tokyo Olympics. The Indian women had already created history and surpassed all expectations by entering the semifinals of the Games for the first time.  Whereas, the Indian men’s team defeated Germany 5-4 in the bronze medal match to end a 41-year wait for an Olympic medal in hockey.
