India’s female badminton player PV Sindhu suffered a 0-2 defeat at the hands of world number-1 Tai Tzu Ying of Chinese Taipei in the semi-finals of the Tokyo Olympics. Rio Olympics silver medalist Sindhu was India’s biggest medal hope. Sindhu may have been out of the gold medal race but she still has a chance to clinch the bronze.
