UP Elections: After BSP, Now SP Aims To Woo Brahmin Voters By Conducting ‘Prabuddh Sammelans’

UP Assembly Election 2022: The Samajwadi Party (SP) has given its nod to organize a series of ‘prabuddh sammelans’ or ‘enlightening conferences’ as part of its Brahmin outreach program, keeping in view the assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh is due early next year.
SP’s chief spokesperson Rajendra Chaudhary on Monday said that senior SP leaders and Parshuram Peeth met party president Akhilesh Yadav on Sunday. After which, the SP president gave permission to hold a series of meetings starting from Ballia next month.

Chaudhary said that Parshuram Peeth, led by former party MLA Santosh Pandey, also expressed its desire to organize such meetings and the party president gave the green signal. He said that during the tenure of the BJP government, there is resentment among the people about the continuous harassment and atrocities of Brahmins and others. The community will be made aware that they will get justice only under the SP-led government in the state.
Earlier BSP led by its Brahmin face and party general secretary Satish Chandra Mishra started a series of ‘enlightening conferences’ from Ayodhya.
SP’s ‘Prabuddh Sammelans’ In Ballia On August 23
Sanatan Pandey, who was the SP candidate from Ballia in the last Lok Sabha elections, said that under the banner of SP, there will be A ‘Prabuddh Sammelan’ in Ballia on August 23. He told that this conference will be addressed by former Speaker of the Vidhan Sabha Mata Prasad Pandey and National President of SP Manoj Pandey.

“There will be a gathering of Brahmins, Rajputs, Bhumihars as well as intellectuals people of other castes at this conference as well,” he said. “However, this is not a caste convention,” Sanatan Pandey clarified.
