But to everyone’s surprise, Anderson managed to stun Kohli and send him back to the pavilion for a heart-breaking golden duck.
This was the first time since 2014 that Anderson dismissed Virat Kohli in Test cricket. This was Virat Kohli’s third golden duck against England in Test cricket.
After dismissing Virat Kohli for a golden duck, Anderson achieved a big milestone in Test cricket. The veteran has now equaled former India spinner Anil Kumble’s record of taking the most wickets in Test cricket. The wicket of Virat Kohli was Anderson’s 619th scalp in Test cricket. He has joined the top-3 players list in terms of taking most wickets in Test cricket.
