West Bengal Govt Makes Negative RT-PCR Report Mandatory For Passengers Travelling By Air

Kolkata: It has become mandatory for those traveling by air to West Bengal to show negative Corona RT-PCR report from now on. If there is no negative report of RT-PCR, then it will be necessary to show the vaccination certificate. In its order issued by the government, it has been said that whether it is a commercial flight or a non-commercial flight, all passengers coming to West Bengal by these aircraft will either have to show the vaccine certificate or show the RT-PCR report. Only after this, they will be allowed to enter West Bengal. In this regard, the state government has written to the Ministry of Civil Aviation. 

West Bengal Home Secretary BP Gopalika has written to Civil Aviation Secretary PS Kharola that this decision of the government will be implemented with immediate effect. Passengers will have to provide proof of complete vaccination or show a negative RT-PCR report of Corona at the time of boarding the flight. This RT-PCR report should not be earlier than 72 hours before boarding the aircraft.

Covid Situation of Corona in West Bengal 

On Monday, 666 new cases of corona were reported in West Bengal. So far 15,18,847 people infected with corona in the state. In the last 24 hours, 1006 people have been cured of corona in the state. So far 14,88,077 people have recovered from Corona in the state. On Monday, 12 people died of corona in West Bengal. In this way, the death from corona in the state has crossed 18,000 to 18,011.
