UK company adopted 4 days of rules a week: On the one hand, while some people in India are advising to work 70 to 90 hours a week, on the other hand 200 UK companies have taken a big decision. According to a report, taking a historic decision in the United Kingdom, at least 200 British companies have implemented the decision to work only 4 days a week without cutting their employees’ salary. The change is supported by the 4 Day Week Foundation and includes increased partnership by companies in marketing, technology, donations and IT sectors.
Supporters of the 4-day working method believe that the 5-day working method is inherited from the old economic age and needs to be replaced. Campaign Director of 4 Day Week Foundation Joe Rile said that 9-5 work patterns were made 100 years ago and is no longer suitable for modern times. Working four days a week will give employees freedom to live more free time and better life. This is also a great way for customers to increase production and attract employees.
Which companies are making changes?
This step has been first taken by 30 companies associated with marketing, advertising and press relations. Then technology, IT and software companies also adopted it. So far, a total of 200 companies have implemented the rule of working for four days, in which 59 companies in London are at the forefront.
