Return of Sunita Williams: Indian -origin American astronaut Sunita Williams and Buch Wilmore have returned to safe Earth. After spending nine months, he landed on earth. His dragon spacecraft landed in the water near the coast of Florida at 3:27 am on Wednesday. After the astronauts rode in the spacecraft and the spacecraft’s door closed, it took them about 17 hours to return from the space station to Earth. After this, the team present with the boat opened the hatch and took out everyone and the necessary medical examination was done. A video of his return to Earth has also surfaced.
Let us tell you that with this landing, the historical space mission ended. This mission lasted for only 8 days. But it took 9 months. When the capsules successfully landed into the sea, those moments were also captured on camera.
Dolphins welcome Sunita Williams
On the return journey, Sunita Williams and Buch Wilmore along with two other crew-9 astronaut Nick Hague and Alexander Gorbunov also returned. They returned to Earth from the Dragon spacecraft. As the dragon capsules landed in the middle of the sea, NASA’s team reached the capsule with the help of speedboat. When NASA’s team reached the dragon capsule, a group of dolphins was also present in the sea to welcome Sunita Williams. The special thing is that the group of dolphins wandered around the dragon capsule for a long time. It seemed that this dolphin was also repeatedly coming out of the sea and welcoming all the members of crew-9.
NASA took Sunita Williams to stretcher
After returning from space, Sunita Williams and her colleagues were taken to the stretcher. It is a type of protocol that every astronaut has to follow. This is because astronauts cannot walk immediately after returning from space. There are many types of changes in their body. In such a situation, NASA adopts strict security procedures in this regard.
Sunita Williams went to space on 5 June.
Sunita Williams and her partner Buch Wilmore left for space on 5 June 2024 last year on 5 June 2024 in the Boeing Starlineer crew capsule. Actually, his mission was only one week. But due to technical fault at the space station, NASA had to vacate Starlineer and send astronauts into space. His return was postponed by February this year due to technical fault.
