Faridabad power cuts: Due to sudden storm and heavy rains on Thursday evening, electricity failed in large parts of Faridabad. Thousands of residents could not get electricity for more than five hours due to this disturbance started late in the evening. No official statement has come from South Haryana Electricity Distribution Corporation (DHBVN). This is increasing disappointment among people.

According to local reports and social media accounts, the infrastructure infrastructure in many areas has been damaged due to bad weather. Electric poles fall, electric wires breakdown and transformer damaged are believed to be the main reason behind prolonged power failure. However, the correct limit of loss is still uncertain as DHBVN authorities have not yet issued any statement or have not answered public questions.

Electricity has been completely cut since the storm came in Sector 21B, 536, Sector 21, Sector 32, Sector 49, Sector 88 and other areas of Faridabad. The residents expressed their anger on social media and tagged the official DHBVN handle. Despite calling several posts and assistance, the electricity department did not give any response, leading to anger among the people.

The lack of communication by DHBVN has raised serious questions about emergency preparations in the region and the flexibility of the infrastructure, especially during seasonal storms. Due to no official deadline for electricity restoration, the inhabitants are left in the dark – both literal and iconically.

Local authorities have not yet explained any official reaction or expected solution time. Since the city is struggling with blackouts and humidity, citizens are demanding accountability and transparency from the power utility provider.
