News India Live, Digital Desk: The battle for assembly elections 2025 in Bihar is still far away, but Union Home Minister Amit Shah has burst such a ‘political bomb’ from the soil of Patna, the echo of which will be heard for many months to come. Attacking the opposition, he has presented such horrifying figures of the 15-year rule of Lalu-Rabri Yadav (1990-2005), which has once again refreshed the old memories of ‘Jungle Raj’.
Attacking the Grand Alliance, especially RJD and Congress, Amit Shah said that these people want to push Bihar back into the same dark era, where criminals and not law ruled.
direct attack on statistics
In his speech, Amit Shah spoke directly to the figures without any pretense. He claimed that in that 15 years of ‘Jungle Raj’ of Lalu-Rabri:
- More than 32,000 murders Happened.
- More than 12 major and gruesome massacres In which hundreds of people were brutally killed.
- Kidnapping had become an industry. People were abducted from their homes and ransom was collected.
He said, “Those who are talking big today should answer the people of Bihar as to why there was such a plight of law and order in that period. The youth of Bihar may have forgotten that period, but we will not let them and their parents forget that dreadful scene.”
“We took Bihar out of jungle raj”
Amit Shah did not stop here. Praising the NDA government, he said that Nitish Kumar and the BJP government together worked to take Bihar out of that ‘Jungle Raj’. He said that under the NDA rule, Naxalism was almost eradicated and the criminals were put behind the bars. He claimed that today Bihar is moving ahead on the path of development and all this is the contribution of the NDA government.
Politics heated up before elections
This statement of Amit Shah clearly shows the strategy of BJP for Bihar elections 2025. BJP is once again preparing to corner the Grand Alliance by making the fear of ‘Jungle Raj’ the biggest issue. This attack is directly on RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav, who is associated with the legacy of that regime.
Now it remains to be seen how Tejashwi Yadav and the Grand Alliance respond to these serious and scary figures presented by Amit Shah and what will the people of Bihar choose between ‘fear of the past’ and ‘promises of the future’.
