A young man died in a head-on collision between two bikes, another seriously injured

Mirzapur, 29 July (HS). Two bikes collided head-on near the power house of Bari village in Halia police station area late on Sunday night. One youth died in the accident and another was seriously injured.

Munai alias Mata Prasad (40), a resident of Mawai Kala village, was returning home on his bike after finishing his work at around 8 pm on Sunday night. Near Bari village, a speeding bike coming from the front hit him. On receiving the information, the police immediately rushed the injured to the local primary health center for treatment. During the examination, Dr. Vivek Khare declared Mata Prasad dead and referred the seriously injured youth Ram Pratap (19), a resident of Teeta, to the Trauma Center Mirzapur.

Incharge Inspector of Halia Police Station Virendra Singh said that one youth died and another was injured in a collision between two bikes. Legal action is being taken by sending the body for postmortem.
