A sudden blast occurred inside the Vasundhara police outpost under the Indirapuram police station area in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh. The incident shattered window panes and cracked a wall of the premises. A food delivery executive present nearby sustained minor injuries from shattered glass and was rushed for medical treatment, while a Sub-Inspector on duty escaped unhurt. Senior police officers, including Ghaziabad Police Commissioner J. Ravinder Goud and Additional CP Raj Karan Nayar, arrived at the scene along with forensic units and bomb disposal squads to secure evidence. Samples collected from the site have been sent for technical analysis to determine the precise explosive material or chemical source.
Viral Social Media Post Claims Terror Outfit Hand
Shortly after the incident, a digital twist emerged when a social media account operating under the handle “Ghazi 2” posted a message and video claiming responsibility on behalf of an entity calling itself “Tehreek-ul-Mujahideen Hindustan”. The post issued direct threats against government authorities and law enforcement, citing retaliatory motives. The online manifesto quickly gained traction across digital platforms, prompting immediate scrutiny from state and national intelligence circles.
Intelligence Agencies and UP ATS Investigate Psychological Operation Angle
Specialized units from the Uttar Pradesh Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) joined the ongoing investigation to evaluate all potential angles, including sabotage and terror links. However, high-ranking counter-terrorism officials noted that no recognized group by the name “Tehreek-ul-Mujahideen Hindustan” exists in official national security databases. Investigators suspect the viral post could be a psychological operation (psy-op) engineered by cross-border networks to generate public panic, exaggerate local capabilities, and mislead security agencies.
Security Measures Heightened Across Delhi-NCR
Following the blast and the subsequent digital threats, security has been tightened across police checkpoints and public places throughout the Ghaziabad and National Capital Region (NCR) belt. Officials emphasized that forensic and technical evaluations are underway to establish the exact physical trigger behind the explosion. Authorities have urged citizens to rely strictly on verified police bulletins as multi-agency probes continue.
