Aanand L Rai’s confession: I couldn’t understand Shahrukh Khan’s image, that’s why I drowned.

News India Live, Digital Desk: Why did the film ‘Zero’ not work? Years later, the film’s director Aanand L Rai has spoken openly about this. He told where he made mistakes while making the film.

Aanand L Rai said that he could not use Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘star image’ properly in the story. He admitted that Shahrukh Khan is not just an actor but a big superstar, and he should have kept this in mind.

Aanand L Rai said in an interview, “I could not understand how important it was to make Shahrukh Khan’s image a part of the film. I was just seeing him as an actor, whereas I should have remembered that he is a superstar.”

Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma were also there with Shahrukh Khan in ‘Zero’. The story of the film was about a dwarf man who falls in love with two different girls. But the film could not do much at the box office.

Aanand L Rai has now admitted that a major reason for the failure of ‘Zero’ was that he could not balance Shahrukh Khan’s ‘star image’ with the story.
