But when the film was released in theatres, the producers were disappointed. The collection of this film was limited to Rs 66 crores. This superstar starrer film did not perform well in terms of earnings. There was a lot of discussion about this film. Even after this the film flopped. Not only this, the stardom of Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff also did not work in this film.
‘Maiden’ flopped badly at the box office
Ajay Devgan is known as an actor-director. But in 2024, his film ‘Maiden’ flopped badly at the box office, causing huge losses to the producers. The film starred Ajay Devgan, Shariq Khan Jr. and Kannada actress Priyamani in lead roles. This film was released on Ramadan in 2024. Due to its release on Eid, the film was expected to earn well. But ‘Maiden’ proved all the predictions wrong on the very first day of its release.
Why did the film flop?

Both the films failed to perform well at the box office. ‘Maiden’ was a biopic of Indian football team coach Syed Abdul Rahim. The story of the film was praised, but the audience did not reach the theatres.
According to reports, ‘Maiden’ directed by Amit Rabindranath Sharma was made on a budget of Rs 250 crore. The film earned Rs 28.35 crore in the first week, Rs 10.25 crore in the second week and Rs 80 lakh in the third week. Overall, ‘Meydan’ collected only Rs. 68 crores earning and Rs. Loss of Rs 180 crore.
