The three-month long journey of ‘Bigg Boss 19’ finally ended and Gaurav Khanna won the trophy of this season. The grand finale held on December 7 was star-studded. From Kartik Aryan, Ananya Panday, Sunny Leone to Pawan Singh, many big names attended the show. But amidst all this glamour, something happened which made everyone’s heart heavy. The host of the show, Dabangg Salman Khan, could not control his tears and started crying like a child in front of the camera.

Why did Salman Khan cry?

This time Bollywood’s real ‘He-Man’ Dharmendra was not present in the finale. Recently, he passed away on 24 November 2025 at the age of 89. A special video was shown in the finale to pay tribute to Dharmendra. His film journey and memorable moments were included in this video. As soon as the video started, Salman Khan’s eyes became moist and by the end of the video, he could not stop himself and started crying bitterly.

“There was no one like Dharam ji…”

Wiping his tears, Salman said emotionally, “We have lost our man. There was no better person than Dharam ji. He lived his life openly and entertained us for 60 years. He gave us great actors like Sunny, Bobby and Esha.”

Salman further said, “I have always followed Dharam ji in my career. He came into the industry with an innocent face and a He-Man body, and his charm remained till his last breath. Love you Dharam ji, we will always remember you.”

Tears in eyes and memories in heart

Salman did not stop at this. She told with a heavy heart, “Dharam ji passed away on November 24, the day of my father Salim Khan’s birthday. And tomorrow is December 8, the day of Dharam ji and my mother’s (Salma Khan) birthday. If I am in so much pain, then imagine what Sunny, Bobby, Hema ji and the entire family must be going through.”

Dharmendra’s departure is a big loss for Bollywood. Salman Khan getting emotional like this on the stage of Bigg Boss shows that Dharam ji was not only a great artist but also a great human being, whom no one will ever forget.
