Now Yami has spoken openly about this and said that not getting the award does not matter to her anymore.

In an interview during the promotion of her upcoming film ‘Haq’, when Yami was asked whether it bothers her not winning the award despite being nominated repeatedly, she clearly denied. Yami said, “I have learned from Bhagavad Geeta that it is important to separate yourself from success and failure. I am now at a point where I do not need validation from someone else’s perspective.
She further said, “It is not that if I get an award then I am a very good actress and if I don’t get one then I am not. I have stopped looking for this kind of recognition.”
“The love of the audience is the biggest award”
Yami told that the biggest reward for her is the love of the audience and the trust shown by the filmmakers in her. He said, “When the audience gives you so much love and some directors-producers are ready to bet on you, then what can be a bigger award than that. Everything else comes and goes. Only the audience can identify the real and the fake.”
