But now, Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Limited (UPPCL) has decided to conduct the biggest ‘surgical strike’ on such electricity thieves so far.
Now electricity thieves will not be able to escape
The UPPCL has made it clear that a special and intensive campaign will be launched against both the power stealers and those who do it. Under this campaign:

There will be raids at night: The UPPCL teams will now conduct surprise raids at night as well as at night so that those who steal electricity by putting a katiya or tampering with a meter can be caught red-handed.

Will be fined heavy: If caught, not only the connection will be deducted, but a heavy fine will also be charged.

FIR will be recorded: In view of the seriousness of the case, FIR will also be lodged in the police, considering power theft as a crime.
