News India Live, Digital Desk: Govinda Career Downfall: There was a time when Govinda’s name was the guarantee of the success of the film. Those who are called ‘Hero No. 1’ with their tremendous comic timing, brilliant dance and easy acting Govinda Righted Bollywood. But the faster his career climbed above, the faster it declined. Now veteran filmmaker Pahlaj Nihalani has spoken openly on this and has explained the reason for this decline in Govinda’s career graph.
The first brother was Govinda:
Pahlaj Nihalani, who has many hit films like ‘Elagam’, ‘Shimla Chilli’ and ‘Aankhen’ with Govinda, consider Govinda as his younger brother. In a recent interview, Nihalani said that Govinda was a very talented and good heart man. He made his place with his hard work. From films like ‘Raja Babu’, ‘Coolie No. 1’, Govinda made his mark in every house and had his songs on the children’s tongue.
‘Bad Sangat’ came after success:
According to Nihalani, “When Govinda reached the pinnacle of success, some people gathered around him who started flattering them and taking them on the wrong path. They came under the influence of such people and got into unwanted habits due to wrong association.” Nihalani said that he tried several times to convince Govinda to avoid such association, as it would harm his career and personal life. But Govinda did not listen to him and kept trusting them only.
Decline in professionalism:
“This ‘bad company’ also affected his professional behavior. Govinda started coming late on the set, canceling the shooting, and his coordination with the producer-director deteriorated.” Nihalani says that this was the time when his films started flopping one after the other and people started distance from them.
Pahlaj Nihalani is still very sad to see this situation of Govinda. He says that Govinda gifted his talent and immense love of the audience to wrong association, due to which the career of a brilliant artist like him did not remain at the point where he should have been. This story also gives a big lesson that after success, the people around them should take so much care while choosing.
