News India Live, Digital Desk: The release date of Housefull 5, one of the much awaited films, is approaching and the film has created a stir at the box office by earning Rs 3.88 crore through advance booking.
Tanu Mansukhani directed The film is set for release on this Friday, June 6. Its advance booking started from June 1 and statistics show that the fifth film of the comedy franchise is set to break the record.
Adorned with the stars, the film includes Ritesh Deshmukh, Abhishek Bachchan, Sonam Bajwa, Jackie Shroff, Jacqueline Fernandez, Fardeen Khan, Chitrangada Singh, Nana Patekar and many other actors.
According to Caikanilk, Housefull 5 has sold 25,429 tickets five days before its release date, which has earned Rs 90.88 lakh across India. Its collection in Hindi is Rs 36,41,246.75, and this number is expected to increase when the release day comes close. By incorporating the blocked seats, the film has already earned Rs 3.88 crore.
Under a unique step, the manufacturers have revealed that the film will be released with two climax- each version will offer a different end. Viewers can choose one of Housefull 5A and Housefull 5B, which will be the first time in Indian cinema that a film will be released with double climax.
So far, 14,666 tickets have been sold for one version and about 9,960 tickets for the second version.
The film’s big conflict at the box office will be from Kamal Haasan’s much awaited Tamil action film ‘Thug Life’, directed by Mani Ratnam and which is releasing on June 5 a day earlier.
Discussion about Housefull 5 is positive, the inner sources in the industry estimate that it can overcome the first day’s earnings of Akshay Kumar’s previous hit films such as Gold (2018, Rs 25.25 crore) and Mission Mangal (2019, Rs 29.16 crore).
However, its success will largely depend on how the pre-cell performs in the next few days. It also has the ability to become Akshay Kumar’s biggest foreign opener and it can be his first ₹ 30 crore opening day in India. One of the biggest releases of this year, the film will hit 500 screens across the country.
Housefull franchise began in 2010, followed by its sequel in 2012, 2016 and 2019. Earlier, Akshay Kumar was seen in Kesari Veer Chapter 2 and Sky Force.
