On one hand, there is great news for the travelers traveling from Kuwait to India, and on the other hand, there is also a big blow to inflation. Kuwait Airways is going to restart its flights to India from tomorrow i.e. 5th April. The resumption of flights will bring great relief to the passengers, but due to the historic jump of 115% in the prices of air fuel (ATF), now air travel is going to be heavy on your pocket. Let us explain to you the new schedule of Kuwait Airways and the complete mathematics of expensive fares.

Kuwait Airways’ new schedule: Will fly to these 4 cities of India

According to the information given by the airline, from April 5, flights will start operating from Dammam city of Saudi Arabia to four major cities of India – Delhi, Mumbai, Ahmedabad and Kochi. If you are going to travel to these cities, the new schedule will be as follows:

Ahmedabad: Flights will be available once a week, every Sunday.

Kochi: Flights will operate two days a week, every Monday and Wednesday.

Delhi: There will be a flight to the capital once a week, every Tuesday.

Mumbai: There will be service for the financial capital once a week, every Friday.

Travel will also be easy on these international routes via Dammam

In view of the increasing demand of passengers, Kuwait Airlines has expanded its network not only to India but also to India. Now passengers will also be able to fly to major international cities like London, Cairo, Istanbul, Lahore and Amman via Dammam.

Robbing the common man’s pocket! Aviation fuel (ATF) becomes costlier by 115%

On one hand, new flights are being started, on the other hand, the skyrocketing prices of Aviation Turbine Fuel have given sleepless nights to the aviation sector. On April 1, the price of ATF in Delhi more than doubled to a record high of ₹2,07,341 per kilolitre. In the month of March this price was only ₹ 96,638. This is the first time in history that the price of air fuel has crossed the Rs 2 lakh mark. A huge increase of 115% in fuel for domestic flights and about 107% in fuel for international flights has been recorded.

Why are prices increasing and what will be the impact on airfares?

The main reasons behind this terrible inflation are the intensifying war in West Asia and the huge rise in crude oil prices in the global market. Experts clearly say that the cost of fuel will have a direct impact on the passengers’ pockets and flight tickets will become expensive. Apart from this, the Central Government has already removed the cap on the prices of domestic air tickets. This simply means that now the airlines are free to decide the fare as per their wish and cost, due to which it is almost certain that air travel will become expensive in the coming days.
