News India Live, Digital Desk: Today’s sun has risen with a very sad news for Bollywood and all of us cinema lovers. That face which always won everyone’s heart with its smile, that voice which had familiarity and warmth, has become silent forever today. Our all favorite ‘Dharam Paaji’ i.e. Dharmendra is no more with us.
He breathed his last today (November 24, 2025) morning in a hospital in Mumbai. He was 89 years old and was about to celebrate his 90th birthday next month. Look at the destiny, amidst the preparations for the celebration, mourning spread.
Treatment was going on for a long time
According to reports, Dharmendra ji was suffering from age related diseases for some time. He was admitted to a private hospital in Mumbai due to breathing problem. The team of doctors tried their best, the family members remained engaged day and night, but this morning his health worsened and he lost the battle of life. The entire family including Sunny Deol, Bobby Deol and Isha is in deep shock at this time.
He was not just a hero, he was ’emotion’
Dharmendra was not just a film hero, he was a feeling for us Indians. That simple boy from Sahnewal village of Punjab, who got the title of ‘He-Man’ in Mumbai without any godfather. Be it Veeru of ‘Sholay’, Parimal Tripathi of ‘Chupke-Chupke’, or the serious character of ‘Satyakam’ – he played every role.
He was called ‘Dharam Paaji’ because he was a very pure and down to earth person at heart. Even on social media, he used to stay connected with us by posting videos of his farm, his cows and buffaloes and old memories. That line of his – “Love you all, Jaan ho aap sab meri…” will now only echo in the ears.
shadow silence in bollywood
With his demise, not only the Deol family but the entire film industry is feeling orphaned. Amitabh Bachchan, who was one of his closest friends, is heartbroken by the news. It is difficult for the fans to believe that he is no longer among us.
His last film and his legacy will always live in our hearts. While leaving, I feel like saying only this – “There was no one like you, and there never will be.”
May his soul rest in peace and give strength to the family to bear this loss.
Om Shanti
