‘SIR is Not the Trigger for CJP Stir’: UP BJP Chief Slams Congress for Using Youth as Shields to Regain Lost Ground

The Uttar Pradesh Bharatiya Janata Party leadership has launched a sharp political offensive against the Congress party, accusing it of exploiting student discontent and youth-led platforms to resurrect its dwindling electoral relevance in northern India. Clarifying the state government’s stance amid ongoing protests associated with the CJP (Cockroach Janta Party / Citizen Youth platform) movement, the UP BJP chief categorically dismissed claims that the Special Investment Region (SIR) policy or administrative initiatives are the core driver behind the agitation. Denouncing the opposition’s maneuvers, the state ruling party asserted that Congress, having lost its independent grassroots support across Uttar Pradesh, is deliberately using impressionable youth as a political shield to orchestrate artificial unrest.

Opposition Accused of Hijacking Genuine Student Dialogue

Addressing party functionaries and media personnel in Lucknow, the state party leadership emphasized that legitimate student grievances regarding employment, recruitment transparency, and educational reforms are being systematically addressed through fast-track governance mechanisms. However, established opposition outfits—principally the Congress—are attempting to hijack spontaneous youth forums to manufacture an anti-incumbency narrative. The BJP leadership argued that behind the veneer of student activism, defeated political interests are actively funding social media campaigns, staging disruptions, and steering university students toward partisan confrontation ahead of crucial electoral cycles.

The Real Intent: Deflecting Attention from Past Policy Failures

Taking direct aim at the Congress high command, the UP BJP president argued that the party has been rejected by voters across multiple electoral rounds because of its historical track record of policy paralysis and corruption. By latching onto the CJP demonstrations and attributing public dissatisfaction to state industrial and land-use frameworks like the SIR, the opposition is merely peddling misinformation to generate newspaper headlines. The BJP chief reiterated that industrial corridors and regional investment zones are specifically engineered to generate local employment and stem youth migration, making opposition claims both contradictory and economically counterproductive.

Government Reaffirms Commitment to Youth Employment and Law and Order

Reiterating Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s governance blueprint, the party leadership maintained that constructive engagement with students remains a top priority, but disruptions to public transit, administrative buildings, or communal harmony will not be tolerated under the guise of democratic dissent. The state administration has implemented strict oversight protocols to ensure examination integrity, cracked down on unorganized recruitment cartels, and expanded direct government job notifications. The BJP reiterated that youth welfare cannot be treated as an opportunistic launching pad for discredited political dynasties, urging students not to fall prey to politically sponsored agitation networks.
