In a key organisational move aimed at strengthening its digital infrastructure ahead of the 2027 Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has appointed Member of Legislative Council (MLC) Subhash Yaduvansh as its state social media in-charge. The decision was formally announced in an official list featuring 13 appointments across the party’s digital wings and specialised cell clusters, issued under the signature of state BJP president Pankaj Chaudhary.

Profile and Track Record of Subhash Yaduvansh
Yaduvansh, who represents the Basti–Sant Kabir Nagar–Siddharth Nagar constituency in the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Council, brings substantial organisational experience to the digital war room. An engineering graduate from Madan Mohan Malviya University of Technology (MMMUT) in Gorakhpur, he rose through the ranks via the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) and served as the state president of the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM). He previously served as UP BJP state secretary and general secretary, developing a reputation for aggressive ground and poster campaigns against opposition platforms.
Fine-Tuning Machinery for Mission 2027
The fresh appointments follow the rollout of the broader 64-member UP BJP state executive team, which incorporated 19 vice-presidents, eight general secretaries, 19 state secretaries, and six frontal wing chiefs. With social media playing a central role in narrative-building, voter mobilization, and countering opposition campaigns, this dedicated 13-member setup ensures cohesive communication between state headquarters, regional units, and booth-level digital volunteers.
