This story begins during a photoshoot of Filmfare magazine. It was here that Akshay and Twinkle had the first meeting. Mother -in -law’s ‘twist’ came in the story

When Akshay, Twinkle’s mother i.e. Dimple came to ask for her hand from Kapadia, he placed a condition in front of Akshay. A journalist friend of Dimple Kapadia told him that Akshay Kumar is ‘gay’. Due to this rumor, Dimple told Akshay that he would have to live in a live-in with Twinkle for a year before marriage, so that he can know both well.
Akshay also accepted this condition as happy. Finally, a year later, when Dimple was convinced that Akshay is perfect for his daughter, both of them got married.
