benign and malignant tumors
Let us tell you that a foot tumor is an abnormal growth that can develop in various structures of the foot, such as bones, muscles or skin. These tumors are usually of two types: benign (abnormal but not harmful) and malignant (cancerous). Benign tumors, such as lipoma, do not usually cause serious health problems, while malignant tumors, such as osteosarcoma, can spread to surrounding tissues and become life-threatening.
Be alert as soon as symptoms appear
Symptoms may include swelling, pain, lumps in the leg, skin changes (such as redness or warmth), and difficulty walking. Causes of tumors include heredity, environmental factors (such as radiation or harmful chemicals) and age. Some tumors are especially common in children or young adults. The most common method of removing the tumor is surgery. If the tumor is malignant, chemotherapy and radiotherapy may also be done.
