The incident took place in Mandangarh taluka of Konkan. Two young children saw a ghost. What is ‘Chabina’? So, ghost palanquin! In some parts of Konkan, it is known as ‘Sabne’. If a person passes in front of the palanquin of these ghosts, it is believed that he has become one of them. Even today, many stories about Bhootni Sabana are famous in Konkan. So this incident took place with two brothers named Raju and Vilas. Both were very young. Both of them will be around 13–14 years old. Summer holidays had started, so Vilas went to his uncle’s village Mandangarh. Raju Vilas’s maternal uncle!
Both these siblings were very close to each other. Both Vilas and Raju used to sleep in the courtyard of the house at night. One day, when he was lying in the courtyard of his house, he had an idea that had never come before. There is a place at some distance from his house where ghost stories are very popular in the village. Both decided to go there around midnight. It is currently 2:30 in the morning. There is a terrible silence in the village. But there is no moon in the sky because it is the night of Amavasya. In this dark night, both of them slowly reach that place, but they do not see anyone there. The night is scary, but these teenagers have very little knowledge about it. They go a little further in fun. Raju feels pressure while walking, so he performs the program on the trunk of a tree on the corner of the hill. But the real game starts from here.
Raju is performing and Vilas is waiting for his brother at a short distance away. Then they both see a yellow light coming from the bottom of the hill. Whose groom is coming in this valley so late at night? Both of them ask the same question. As soon as Raju’s program ends, he runs towards luxury instead of hiding in the valley. Vilas and Raju are stunned because now the sound of drums, cymbals and shehnai is echoing in their ears. Even more scary is the sound of loud tinkling of bangles from the crowd. Hundreds of people gather and clapping there echoed there. That light is growing slowly and along with that light, those voices and screams are also increasing. Both of them do not even dare to look down in that valley.

Everyone was calm at this place, famous for ghost stories, and they were both scared, as they saw the ghosts in the wrong place. The sound and light gradually disappear, and a terrible silence and darkness occur. Without wasting more time, both of them walked towards the house. They get rid of all the insects sleeping in the courtyard, and knock the door and go home, and sleep with a blanket. The special thing is that Raju had fever for two days due to this incident.
