News India Live, Digital Desk: It is very common in our country to dream of becoming a doctor. Every year lakhs of children prepare for NEET by working hard day and night. But some ‘vultures’ are also trying to take advantage of this dream and compulsion. Recently, a case has come to light which has raised questions on both the security of the admission process and the wisdom of parents.
Just imagine, a family invested their savings (about Rs 21 lakh) to make their child a doctor, but what did they get in return? Just cheating.
Unique and surprising method of cheating
Often we hear that someone promised to get a seat by taking money and switched off the phone. But this case is a little different and more vicious. Look at the courage of the thugs, they not only took the student and his father into confidence, but also took them to a reputed medical college.
According to reports, the fraudsters have “Fake Key” Used. They took the student’s father to the college campus and opened the lock of some staff room or office there with their key. Due to this, the victim’s family felt that these people were the real officials or influential people of the college itself. This was the moment when his confidence was confirmed and he handed over Rs 21 lakh.
The dream broke when the truth came out
After paying the money, when the real admission list came or when he reached the college again, the ground slipped from under his feet. It was revealed that neither those people had anything to do with the college nor any seats had been reserved. That ‘key’ and that ‘rob’ were all part of a drama.
Important lessons for parents
Friends, this incident is not just a news, but a big warning. If you get low marks in NEET, do not get frustrated and look for ‘shortcuts’.
- Rely only on counselling: Remember, every MBBS seat in India is filled only through merit and central/state counseling (MCC/State Counselling).
- No ‘management quota’ is available like this: If someone is promising you a seat secretly, through the back door of the college or through a broker, then understand that it is going to be 100% fraud.
- Meeting on campus is not a guarantee: The fraudsters have become so clever that they can meet you outside or even inside the college, as happened in this case.
