Akhilesh Yadav’s Taunts: Criminal under the protection of police, questions on the claim of UP government:

News India Live, Digital Desk: Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav has once again launched a scathing attack on the Yogi Adityanath government of Uttar Pradesh. He alleged that Uttar Pradesh has not been ‘mafia free’ contrary to the government’s claim, but has become a state of ‘Mahmafia’. The former Chief Minister said that the people sitting in the state government themselves are giving protection to the criminals, due to which the graph of crime is increasing in the state.

In his comment, the SP president questioned the government’s claim of ‘zero tolerance’ and said that the condition of UP is getting worse. He further said that “Are these criminals come from outside? These are the births of (BJP). Together with the Bharatiya Janata Party, they are doing this work under the patronage of the police. This Uttar Pradesh mafia has not been free, it has become a Mahamafia with Uttar Pradesh. There are people sitting in the government, who have produced them and it will continue to deteriorate.”

This statement reflects the increasing political allegations and counter-allegations on the situation of crime and law and order in the state, especially the opposition parties are constantly surrounding the government on the issue. Akhilesh Yadav’s remarks may further increase the political stir of the UP assembly elections.
