SBI Fake Bank News: Many cases of fraud by opening fake branches of State Bank of India have come to light in Chhattisgarh. Villagers were invited to open accounts in the bank with new furniture, cash counters and similar paperwork similar to SBI. The employees of this fake bank were also defrauded. He was told that he had got a permanent job in the original SBI. Police have registered a case against six accused in this matter.
A new branch of State Bank of India was opened in Chhapor village of Sakti district of Chhattisgarh. The operation of the new branch seemed suspicious to the SBI bank manager of nearby Dabra. He, along with SBI officials and police, busted the fake branch on September 27. The three accused involved in the scam have been identified as Rekha Sahu, Mandir Das and Pankaj.
According to the police officer, the key conspirator not only provided fake documents and fake titles but also trained all the bank employees by pretending that they had got permanent jobs in the bank. They were also charged Rs 2-6 lakh as fees in exchange for the job. An employee told that he had Rs. A demand of Rs 5 lakh was made. Finally he paid Rs. Accepted the job by paying Rs 2.5 lakh.
When a villager applied for an SBI kiosk, SBI officials became alert. When managers did not find any code or other information about the new branch, the police were informed. The scam was aimed at targeting unemployed persons from districts including Korba, Balod, Kabirdham and Shakti.
