News India Live, Digital Desk: Jharkhand Ranchi Zoo: A sad news has come out from the Lord Birsa Biological Park (Birsa Joo) of Ranchi, the capital of Jharkhand. The only male giraffe here, named “Z”, has died. As the news of Z’s death spread, there was disappointment among wildlife lovers and people visiting the zoo. Jade, known for its long neck and calm nature, is now left only in memories.
Jade was struggling with illness
According to Birsa Zoo management, 11 -year -old Z was ill for the last few days. He was suffering a lot in walking and he was not even eating and drinking properly. The doctors and experts of the zoo were constantly monitoring his health and treating him, but despite all the efforts he could not be saved.
Z was brought from Patna
Jade was brought to Birsa Joo in Ranchi a few years ago from Sanjay Gandhi Organic Park in Patna under the Animal Exchange Program. Since then, he was a major center of attraction for tourists, especially children who come here. After her departure, now only one female giraffe “Trisha” is left in Birsa Zoo, which has fallen alone due to the departure of Z.
Xu management says that postmortem is being done to find out the real causes of Jade’s death. Only after the report comes, the cause of death will be completely cleared. This incident has once again raised concerns about the care and health of wildlife kept in zoos. Jade’s departure is a major damage to Ranchi.
