Washington, Bureau.US President Donald Trump has once again given a direct and strict warning to Iran in his familiar aggressive style. Amidst the ongoing fierce conflict in the Middle East, Trump has made it clear that if Iran tries to disrupt the global oil trade through the Strait of Hormuz, it will have to suffer consequences that have never been seen in history. Trump has called the potential action a rain of “death, fire and rage.”
There will be devastation if there is a ‘blockade’ on the Strait of Hormuz.
About 20% of the world’s total oil trade passes through this narrow sea route. In response to Iran’s threats, Trump wrote on his social media platform ‘Truth Social’:
“If Iran makes any attempt to stop the flow of oil through the Strait of Hormuz, it will receive a response twenty times harsher than it has received so far. Death, fire and anger will be rained down upon them.”
Trump warned that America will target those Iranian bases which are easy to destroy but which will be almost impossible for Iran to rebuild.
‘Trump’s gift’ to China and global trade
The interesting thing is that Trump has presented this military warning as a ‘gift’ to the world. He said that this action was especially China And a gift to all those countries that depend on the Strait of Hormuz for their energy needs. Trump believes that this strictness of America will ensure safe movement of oil, which should be appreciated by the whole world.
“Iran no longer has military power left”: Trump’s claim
In an interview with CBS News, Trump claimed that the ongoing war with Iran is “almost over” because Iran’s military capability has been completely destroyed. According to Trump:
Navy and Air Force: Iran’s navy and air force no longer exist.
Missiles and Drones: Tehran’s missiles are running out and their drone manufacturing factories have been destroyed.
Communication System: Iran’s military communication network is completely at a standstill.
Trump said that he had thought of 4 to 5 weeks for this operation, but the US Army has gone far ahead of its scheduled time.
Iran’s counterattack: “We will decide the end”
Amidst Trump’s claims and warnings, Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has also adopted a tough stance. The IRGC rejected Trump’s statements, saying that “Tehran, not Washington, will decide when and how the war will end.” This reaction of Iran has indicated that even though its military capability has been hurt, it is not ready to accept defeat.
