News India Live, Digital Desk: Quad Meeting: Recently, there was a very important virtual meeting of quad countries, in which leaders from four major democratic countries of the world participated. The meeting was attended by Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, President of America Joe Biden, Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida and the then Prime Minister of Australia Scott Morrison. During this time many global challenges were openly discussed and some important decisions were also taken.

The main points and decisions of the meeting:

1. Russia’s strong condemnation over Ukraine War:
   In this meeting, the first discussion was on the Russia-Ukraine War, which is the biggest concern in the world at this time. All quad leaders together strongly condemned Russia’s military action. He clearly stated that Ukraine’s sovereignty and regional integrity should be respected and international laws should be followed. He believed that dialogue and diplomacy can solve this problem.

2. Zero tolerance on terrorism:
   Quad countries repeated their solidarity and tough stand against terrorism. He made it clear that he would not tolerate terrorism in any form. The meeting condemned all types of terrorist attacks and terrorism, including the recent Pahalgam attack. The leaders spoke of abolishing the safe targets of the terrorists and also taking action against the countries providing financial assistance.

3. Emphasis on free and open Hind-Pacific region:
   The Indo-Pacific region is strategically very important for the world. Quad leaders reiterated their resolve to keep the region independent, open and inclusive. This means that no country will run its grandfather here and all countries will have to respect the freedom of shipping and international maritime laws. This region remained the center of economic development with peace and stability, it was given special attention to it.

4. Climate change and cooperation on new techniques:
   The meeting also talked about dealing with global challenge like climate change. Counts of quad agreed to work together in this direction. In addition, there was also discussion on strengthening the Critical Technologies (eg 5G and AI) and the supply chain (supply chain). Its purpose is to ensure that there is no unnecessary dependence on any country and there is no obstruction in the supply of important products.
